Road Trip Planner App Reviews

Useless

I purchased this app to plan a trip to Yellowstone this summer. Because it gets it app data from Apple Maps, and because the roads are CURRENTLY CLOSED for the winter, the app is totally unable to create a route and is therefor totally useless. There is no function in the app to plan a FUTURE trip, and apparently no way to access true road data. (The roads still exist right? I bet google still knows how to get from point A to point B). The decision by the developer to use Apple Map data with this limitation makes this app a waste of money for anyone planning a future trip.

Good Program but Not User Friendly

Apple maps do not let you mark multiple locations so at least this program allows that. It is not super user friendly like apple maps or streets and trips, but it get the job done if you work with it a little bit.

I like it

I had used MS Street & Trips for years, but no longer own a PC and Streets & Trips is on its way out. I tried several on-line trip planners, none of which I liked at all. I downloaded Road Trip Planner for the Mac just 2 weeks ago and am really enjoying plannng my next trips. It didnt take me long to add my stops, set up my dates and update routes. The features of viewing KOAs and other campgrounds is a help. Overall, a VERY useful and easy program to use. I look forward to continued added features. A good value at $15. Update 3/4/16 - I have been using this app for over a year. It was a solid app when I started using it and it has become better after several upgrades. The developer is very accessible and responds to problems or suggestions. I liked it then, I like it even better now. Very useful when planning a trip.

Worst App Ever

I purchased it yesterday and would like to know if I can get a refund. The routing is so in comprehensive you are safer being lost. The routing stops backtracks 38 miles to go from one waypoint to another only a few miles away. I added so many waypoints my map looks like a railroad track. I have lots of mapping software but the good stuff is on my windows machine and I can’t find anything close in iOs.
